Bissell Style 8 HEPA Media Post Motor Filter

Looks great
I haven't used this filter yet; was purchasing to have it on hand. One thing I did discover; these filters can be washed and re-used. That is a big plus. It is not what the mft recommends though.

Bissell HEPA Filter
The filter was a bit hard to put into the machine - isn't an exact fit, but it works and for the price, it was worth trying! Product arrived quickly and brand hew shape.

Exact replacement
What can I say. This is an exact replacement for the HEPA Post Motor Filter my vacuum already had. Tight fit so all air leaving the vacuum MUST exit thru the filter. With my vacuum cleaner the filter remains fairly clean and almost looks new after months of use but with my allergies I still replace this filter regularly.

HQRP Active HEPA Filter compatible with Miele AH50 / 05996882 / 07226170 / Replacement plus HQRP Coaster

Did what it was meant to do
This product worked as well as Miele filter at a much lower cost. I will definitely repurchase this product again.

Very 'like' but still not the Miele original (no duh!)
The good:
- to the non-expert naked eye it looks just like the original Miele AH50 part
- the rubber seal around the outside fits snugly without any gaps into the exhaust filter space in my Miele vacuum
- the 'Hepa' folds appear to my non-expert eye to be made of the same filtering material as the original and there are no visible gaps around the edges
- it's much cheaper.

The bad, or more accurately the unknown:

As it is not a Miele manufactured filter you don't get the benefit of Miele's design and quality assurance testing around the HEPA filtering material as manufactured and assembled. Or more importantly the value of their reputation being plenty of motivation to ensure design tolerances are consistently met.

Why does that even matter it it looks exactly the same?

Minor variances in filtering materials used and manufacturing tolerances can make a big difference when your're measuring filtration effectiveness at the...

Just like the original
This looks and fits just like the original, Why pay 5 times more for the same thing? This makes yearly replacement affordable. If it makes you feel good take a sharpe and write Miele on it.
