Honeywell HC-835 Replacement Filter for Robitussin and Vicks Cool Moisture Humidifiers

Bad Idea
I got the filter for the humidifier I also just bought. Upon placing the filter in and turning the unit on, a strong odor filled the room. I had to open the windows to air the room out because I didn't think inhaling the smell was a good idea. Being that it was for my bird's room, I feel sure that it would result in him getting sick or worse. I believe the problem lies in the Protec antimicrobial treatment. I would never have bought it had I known about this.

Works great
We have bad water that can turn these filters into nasty colors quickly, but it seems to me that means its doing its job. We have gone through over 20 of these in our baby's room over the last couple years and have not experienced any of the odor issues mentioned in the prior review.

Not sure if it was the right product
I wished there was a description of what the product was made from, for example this product is plastic. What came with the orginal humidifer was made out of paper.

Honeywell POPUP2025 Pleated Filter Media 20x25x5

Honeywell filter
I'm very pleased with these filters, they store easily and the price was wonderful. Plus they were shipped right away...great customer service!

Beware Seller Filters-Now
Filters-Now only ships one filter even though the description specifies two. The filter was of the promised quality and arrived intact (although with too much packaging)

Filter was fine
This was the first time I replaced the unit in my A/C, and the unit fit and worked fine. I think when I ordered it, I found that there were several things that sounded like it had the same name or number, but had different dimensions, so be careful to ensure that the unit you purchase has the dimensions you are looking for

Honeywell CL25AE 52 Pt. Indoor Portable Evaporative Air Cooler with Remote Control - White

Really does the job!
This product works well, and looks exactly as advertised. It runs in two different modes... fan only or fan with water. Both modes really help to move and cool the air. It rolls well across tile floors, but can be a bit bulky if rolling on carpet while filled with water (the side indent could use a handle). It is a bit loud, even when set at "low", but it really does move a lot of air. The horizontal louvers can be manually adjusted, and the vertical ones can be set to oscillate.

When in the evaporative mode, you can put ice cubes in the top chamber, but I found they melted too quickly. Instead, I freeze baggies of water (snack size work well), and put one in each side. I also alternate the modes, as the evaporative mode increases the humidity in the house.

We live in a VERY hot climate (Las Vegas) and so I'm using this cooler more, and our regular AC less, throughout the day. It should help lower our cooling bill, and most importantly.... the three cats love...

swamp cooler
we live in the black hills and this is a great product for keeping our place cool. the humidity is low but we have some hot weeks in august and the unit kept the room cool and comfortable.

Works good
It really helps keep the room cool. You do need to keep it near an open window or it gets humid in the room. On humid days it does not work that well.
