Food Network 3-Cup Mini Food Processor and Chopper

Worst processor I have ever owned
This is by far the worst food processor/chopper I have ever owned. Being a Food Network brand, I truly thought it would be a quality product. However, the main reason I bought this was in order to, not only chop veggies/fruits/etc, but mostly for baking, as I have used my small hamilton beach and black n decker 10 dollar processors in the past to do pastry blending (i.e. processing via pulsing the butter, sugar and flour for crusts and toppings). It was SUCH a dissappointment! It will not chop up the butter, even when I pre-chop it, and blend it in nicely as my previous cheap processors did (which lasted for years). I will probably avoid most Food Network products from now on and have never written a negative review purposefully ever. I just feel so strongly about this product that I felt I had to!

Great Chopper
This little machine is really great. It will chop your onions and vegetables rather small. It has a slicing wheel, which reverses to a grating wheel. I will shred cheese, and slice carrots, not just chopping jobs. I swear I once made a pie dough in it. just one or two cups of flour at a time. I bring it out at least once a week and easy to clean too. I am looking for one for my brother for Christmas. I have had mine for at least 3 years, I can't believe they still have the same one for sale. It must be for a good reason, they are good.

Great multi-purpose processor!
I wanted to replace my VERY old blender and needed a mini-prep food processor as well, because it had a small food processor attachment, that I relied on for chopping small amounts of nuts or making crumb toppings for coffee cakes, etc.. I bought this because it offered the option to shred and slice and not just chop. It really does a nice job on small tasks, just as the word 'mini' would suggest. An added benefit of this machine is that I can also make salad dressing in it as it has a tube feed feature for slowly adding the oil while the machine is running. Much nicer than doing it by hand with a whisk! It is a shame that more people didn't appreciate its unique benefits over the Cuisinart Mini-prep with its limited functions.
