family with asthma
Purchased this item to help my family sleep better at night. We have all been plagued with Bronchial Related Asthma since moving to GA in 2011. I have had several different humidifiers up until this point and I must say that we are all very pleased with this product! You can actually tell a difference in a night without it and a night with it!!! The only downfall with this item is that it does seem to produce a white powder deposit on all of my furniture...it's like dust so I just have to dust more often than I would usually prefer. However, that is a small problem with a rather great outcome when using this machine.
Great vaporizer!
I love this humidifier! It works great and is extremely quiet; which seems obvious for use in a bedroom while you are sleeping; but other brands are so noisy!
Does not shut off
This is the second unit I have tried and both exhibit the same behavior.
1. Sour smell in the vapor right out of the box. I assume it is not mold/mildew causing the smell since the unit is brand new but it does smell like mold/mildew.
2. The hygrostat is terrible. It ranges from 30 to 90 percent and when I have it set at around 50 percent (just as it clicks on) it never shuts off even when my room got to 60 percent humidity. I fi turn the hygrostat dial just a notch to shut off the vapor (still around the 50 percent area of the dial) the unit does not turn back on even though the room went down to 41 percent humidity. If I didn't know any better, I would say the hygrostat is fake and is just an on/off switch but I know it is just a cheap quality hygrostat that is not at all close to being accurate even with a 10 percent swing of humidity. I have two calibrated hygrometers I use to monitor the room because my guitars require 45-50 percent humidity so that is how...
